MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (TERM-TIME)
- Assist the College chaplain in preparing and running twice weekly choral services (currently Thursday evening and Sunday mornings or evenings) (training provided)
- Take an active part in the weekday lunchtime prayer services (on a rota with others)
- Recruit volunteers for a termly readers and servers rota (support & training from the chaplain)
- Assist the chaplain in advertising chapel and chaplaincy services
- Attend termly chapel/chaplaincy planning meetings
- Assist in occasional chaplaincy events (e.g., film evenings, discussion groups, special seasonal services/events)
- Assist the chaplain in arranging an annual Chaplaincy Weekend Retreat
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential qualities
- Comfortable to work within the Anglican tradition of the College chapel
- Good communicator
- Collaborative team player
- Ability to work collaboratively with the College chaplain and chapel musicians
- work collaboratively with members of all College common rooms
- represent the values of the College and chaplaincy (see College website for College values)
Desirable qualities (but not pre-requisite)
- Working knowledge of Anglican worship
Personal Attributes
- Friendly and approachable with a good sense of humour
- Professional, organised and reliable in all aspects of the role.

Scholarship Value (2025-26 Academic Year): £300 (paid in termly instalments)
