One of the amazing things about being part of Chad’s is that we’re a small college, and therefore can all get together regularly and socialise. The Social Committee organises a massive number of events during the year, from bops, to formals, to cinema trips.

The committee is headed up by the JCR Social Secretary who is a member of the JCR Executive Committee.

A highlight of the year is the organisation of Chad’s Day which is held in Epiphany Term around the time of the Feast Day of St Chad. It is an opportunity for the whole College to come together and celebrate our community. The day includes a morning parade, a celebration service in the Cathedral, noon run around Palace Green, games and activities throughout the day and a bop in the evening. Everyone dresses head-to-toe in green too – it is highlight of the College calendar!
